Neurofeedback Can Help Balance These Brainwaves

First, we will measure your brainwave activity using an advanced technology, called a qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram). The process is painless, and it allows us to measure the actual electrical energy in each lobe of the brain. If your anxiety and panic attacks are the result of too many Beta waves, this is how we find it.

Based on the results of your own personal brain map, you will be provided with an individualized training protocol to correct the measured imbalances. The training sessions are easy and relaxing. All you have to do is sit back and watch a movie!

The Process Is Fully Natural

During a normal training session, the computer will monitor your brainwaves for any that are out of the normal range. When it finds one, the system triggers a response that changes the audio and visual output.  This signals the brain to re-focus, and helps correct the imbalanced brainwaves, A normal training session is 30 minutes long, during which these small corrections happen many times.

Remember how you learned to ride a bike? Neurofeedback works in much the same way. Using the audio and visual feedback, over time your brain develops the ability to stay more balanced on its own. This allows you to have the control of your own thoughts, ending the recurrent symptoms of anxiety and panic.

What’s happening in the brain that can cause anxiety and panic attacks?

Research shows that anxiety disorders can be due to too many Beta (High Frequency) brainwaves on the right side of the brain. These types of brain waves occur naturally when you are awake and thinking actively. However too many Beta waves can cause anxiety, and even cause you to have a panic attack. Unfortunately, due to the very nature of the anxiety attack itself, they are very difficult to control without help.
